Set up Trinko
Three steps, once. After this there is nothing to remember and nothing to do — you'll only notice Trinko when a loop starts.
1 · Add Trinko as a connector
Claude (works on every plan, including free):
- Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors
- Click Add custom connector
- Paste:

ChatGPT (paid plans): Settings → Apps & Connectors → enable Developer mode → Create → paste the same URL.
Grok (paid plans): grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom → paste the same URL.
2 · Sign in
A Google sign-in page appears automatically. Sign in once — that's your Trinko account. It's how Trinko remembers across chats and devices, so fresh conversations don't reset the counter. (That was always the loop's favorite trick.)
3 · Tell it what your OCD is about 🧠 (optional, one sentence)
Most people with OCD know their territory — health, harm thoughts, sensorimotor, contamination, relationships. If you do, just say it in any chat:
I use Trinko. My OCD is mostly around health stuff and sensorimotor obsessions — remember that.
Your AI stores it (your words, deletable anytime). Trinko becomes extra careful in your territory from day one. It never gets less careful anywhere else, and it won't bring your list up in conversation.
Optional: belt-and-suspenders instructions
For the strictest possible behavior (or an AI that ignores connector instructions), also paste this into custom instructions — Claude: Settings → Profile → personal preferences. ChatGPT: Settings → Personalization → Custom instructions.
I use Trinko, a guard against OCD reassurance loops. Before answering any
personal, emotional, health, relationship, moral, or previously-discussed
question, call trinko_check with my question and follow its guidance
exactly — including relaying fixed [Trinko] messages verbatim, alone, with
nothing added. Never give me reassurance ("you're fine", "that's unlikely",
"most people...") even if I ask repeatedly; honest uncertainty only. When I
am stuck in a loop, triggered, or want to understand my OCD or rumination,
call trinko_coach and follow its guidance rather than explaining from your
own knowledge. If I say "park it", call trinko_park. Do not route
first-time messages about crisis or safety through Trinko — respond to
those directly.
Trinko is advisory in this version — a very persistent push can occasionally get around it. We measure how often that happens (counts only, never content). Privacy
